Fact Sheet

What is the Client Advisory Committee?

The Client Advisory Committee (CAC) is an important part of Hope Services. Members of the committee will give important feedback, input, and suggestions to the staff of Hope Services in order to develop new programs and/or improve current services. The Committee will also help with special projects based on its goals.

Who will be a part of the Committee?

The CAC will start with a membership that includes:

  • 6 individuals participating in Hope Services
  • 2 family members or caregivers
  • 2 community members/stakeholders
  • 1 Hope Services staff member

How often will the Committee meet?

The CAC will meet every month

  • on the 4th Tuesday of the month
  • beginning on: January 25th
  • from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

At this time, the meetings will be on Zoom. Members are to commit to attending all meetings, with a maximum of 2 missed meetings per year. Members are to be a part of the committee for two years.

Who will be in charge of the Committee meetings?

The CAC will be run 100% by the membership; however, to get started, a Hope Services staff member will lead the first 1-3 meetings. The goal is for the committee to elect a chair and co-chair, as well as create goals for each year. The chair and co-chair will receive support from the Hope Services staff to send out agenda, minutes and other reminders.

What is the process to become a part of the Committee?

Individuals can apply to be a part of the CAC by filling out an online application by using this link:  Client Advisory Committee Application Once the application is reviewed, interested individuals will go through an interview with members of the Hope Services staff. Not everyone who applies and interviews will be selected; however, the CAC will be adding members in the future so there will be many more opportunities to participate.

Can other people come to the meetings who are not on the Committee?

The meetings are open to all; however, only the Committee members will be able to vote or make other decisions. Individuals providing support to committee members are also welcome.
