*High Priority Vocabulary - Recognize the Words

PRESENTERS: We are only using the bottom two activities. It Takes Two and Research It are modified for zoom activity with the links below. Do one, or both, or a variation you invent.

It Takes Two

Use this random picker to play  as a group.  When it's your turn the presenter will pick a new word. Read it out loud and act it out at the same time.

Low Vision option: the presenter will either spell the word out loud, or describe the action so you can guess the word.

PRESENTERS: click the black button labeld RETURN to make a word from the list appear. For low vision players, spell out the word or describe the action.

Research It

Open up the PDF and try and recognize the direction words from Wednesday. Use the whiteboard feature to circle words.

You will also find new direction words. Identify the new words and use your web browers to discuss and define each new word.

Best Jobs Ever?

Have you ever had a job that made you happy to come to work each time you had a shift?

What was that job and what about it made you so happy to work there?

Here is an article with 20 amazing and unique careers out in the world.

PRESENTERS: Promt participants to explore different facets of a fun job. For example, feeding the Wales at a marine sancturary would be amazing if you liked sea life. What other jobs might you be able to do to also work closely with marine life?

Sometimes we think jobs can be boring and options are few. Here is a VIDEO of 51 People With The Coolest Jobs In The World.

PRESENTERS:  Feel free to use as much or little of this video to pause and discuss some promts with participants.

IMPORTANT: The video has text explanations of each job. Please read descriptions allowed or call for volunteers to read.

  1. What level of satisfaction or happiness  would you get from some of these  jobs?
  2. Does everyone have to like all the same careers and jobs?
